|Phillip “Phil” Owen Wood (Republican Party) is running for election to the U.S. House to represent Illinois' 8th Congressional District. He is on the ballot in the Republican primary on June 28, 2022. Phil Wood is a Pro-Life Conservative. He is an ordained Evangelical pastor and licensed mental health counselor working for the County Health Department and Meier Clinics. He was formerly Director at Wayside Cross Ministries in Aurora and Elgin, overseeing outreach to the homeless and at-risk youth.
- I believe in protecting the safety of our neighborhoods through supporting the Police, securing the border, and protecting our 2nd Amendment rights.
- Fuel costs affect every area of our lives, not only at the pump, but adding to the cost of everything we buy. We need to support and work toward energy independence.
The rights and values of parents and families need full support.
